Like Alphabet Like Noun: A Review
Like Alphabet Like Noun is a book by American author Ron Silliman. The book is a collection of essays that explore the relationship between language and reality.
Silliman's essays are wide-ranging in their scope, but they are all united by a common theme: the idea that language is not a neutral medium for representing reality, but rather a force that actively shapes our experience of the world.

In one essay, Silliman argues that the alphabet is not a natural or inevitable way of representing language. He points out that there are many other possible ways to represent language, such as logograms or syllabaries. The fact that we use the alphabet, he argues, is a reflection of the particular cultural and historical conditions in which we live.
In another essay, Silliman explores the relationship between language and power. He argues that language is not simply a tool for communication, but also a way of controlling and manipulating others. He points out that the words we use to describe the world can have a profound impact on how we think about it.
Silliman's essays are challenging and thought-provoking. They offer a new way of thinking about language and its role in our lives. Like Alphabet Like Noun is a must-read for anyone interested in language, literature, or philosophy.
